Coordinate Geometry Proofs HomeThis is a featured page

This is a wiki that I created as an example of the kinds of wikis you will all create before the end of the year as a review exercise for all of us at the end of the year. This wiki will provide you with formulas and explanations of the steps involved to solve a certain problem dealing with this topic. There are many different shapes that we may be able to prove by using the coordinate axes. The various shapes we will prove are:
  1. Parallelogram
  2. Rectangle
  3. Square
  4. Rhombus
  5. Trapezoid
  6. Isosceles Trapezoid
  7. Right Triangle
  8. Isosceles Triangle
  9. Isosceles Right Triangle
There are three (3) formulas that we need to know and memorize for the final exam. These are the formulas you need to know in order to be successful in this topic:
  • Distance formula:
  • distance formula
  • Slope Formula:

  • Midpoint Formula:
